We specialize in made to order sandwiches, both hot grilled panini and cold sandwiches. Great, freshly made salads. Artisan , all natural gelato by Figaro. Espresso drinks and coffee (Oak roasted beans by Mr. Espresso). Homemade fudge and a variety of fine chocolates and other candies, all sold by the pound. YUMMY!

In June 2007 we opened Fudgelato, serving 24 rotating flavors of true artisan Italian gelato, homemade fudge and a large variety of fine chocolates and other candies. Since then, we've expanded into Cafe Fudgelato. We now serve a score of specialty sandwiches and salads that are "to die for!" Also to accompany your meal or dessert is espresso drinks and coffees that are oak wood roasted by Mr. Espresso. Come in and see what the talk of Alameda is all about.

Tony Doumitt

Tony studied under the late, great local renowned chef, Ken Wolfe, learning the basics of fine culinary arts. He got his degree in Hotel-Restaurant Management from the City College of San Francisco's HRM program, known as the top 2 year program in the country at the time he graduated in 1987. He has worked all facets of the restaurant business, including both the "front and back of the house." He left the industry in 1991 to operate a family retail shoe business for 16 years but is back with his passion running Cafe Fudgelato for his and the general public's love of great taste!
