Pike Place Chowder is world renowned for its award-winning variety of chowders,
drawing visitors from almost every country on the planet. Ours is the story of a small,
owner-operated Seattle enterprise with in a determination to serving only the best to our
customers.

In 20 years, no one outside New England had taken the top prizes at the Great Chowder
Cook-Off in Newport, Rhode Island, which draws upwards of 20,000 chowder lovers
every year. But, after three wins in a row, our New England Clam Chowder was inducted
into the Hall-of-Fame. After that, we took medals for our Seafood Bisque. For the past
two years, an innovative three-chowder sampling has earned the People’s Choice Award
at the West Coast Chowder Competition in Monterey, California.

You’ll find Pike Place Chowder at two downtown Seattle locations – the original
chowderhouse in Pike Place Market, and a second at Pacific Place Shopping Center, on
the 4th floor. At the Market, we serve eight varieties of chowder each day, along with
salads and sandwiches. At Pacific Place, you’ll find an expanded menu that includes
sizzling Fish’n Chips, Po’Boy Sandwiches, and Fish Tacos - along with Appetizers and
Premium Beers.
